Clinch Nuts

A round, internally threaded, one-piece fastener with a shank protruding from the internal circumference, and a knurled clinching ring surrounding the shank. Both the shank and the clinching ring are integrally formed into the bottom side of the nut.

Designed for use in thin sheet metal when load bearing threads are necessary. The nut is pressed into a pre-drilled or punched hole, then force is applied to the top of the nut until the bearing surface at the outside diameter of the bottom of the nut is flush with the sheet metal to which it is attached.
